This internship is an opportunity to get hands-on experience with Vanderbilt Health IT Communications department. We project that this role will range from 10-20 hours/week with 20 hours as the likely commitment.
The VUMC Communications Intern works under the direction of the Communications Manager to support and promote HealthIT's internal, customer and external communication programs. The intern creates original (or repurposes existing content) to support these programs, for vehicles including newsletters, blog articles, posters and signage, content for mobile apps and websites, email, presentations, FAQs, video scripts, speaker notes, and other channels as needed. He/she works with various leaders throughout VUMC to create and distribute communications content. The intern will also help plan and execute special events such as Town Halls, mobile on-site information fairs, and celebrations. He/she will help keep communication assets, including departmental websites, updated. The intern will also support HealthIT communications by monitoring and reviewing surveys, feedback and incoming messages, and perform other duties as assigned.

Opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students interested in obtaining personal exposure to VUMC by serving in an internship allowing the individual to gain exposure to and develop a better understanding of the variety of operations and services within the defined department.
