Ring House, the premier Independent Living Facility, on the campus of Charles E. Smith Life Communities, is looking for a new Director to serve as a champion for our residents to live their lives to the fullest. In this role, you will provide operations leadership and direction to all staff with particular focus on guaranteeing high quality customer service and maintaining a vibrant community. You will also monitor trends in senior living and related fields, sharing and developing strategies and best practices. You will serve as a project manager for initiatives, and will be charged with developing and implementing efficient and innovative strategies to increase customer satisfaction. This is a critical role within the Ring House leadership team, and allows for the opportunity to create a dramatic and positive impact on our residents’ ability to live an active, engaged life!
The successful candidate will have:
•Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
•Bachelor’s Degree in a field that lends itself to the support of vibrant living in a senior environment; marketing, education or geriatrics preferred.
•Minimum of three years of experience in a high energy, public role, three of which are in a leadership/supervisory capacity; preferred experience includes event or activities planning, sales, and/or training.
•Strong customer orientation to older adults.
•Demonstrated ability to think creatively and influence others. •Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to connect and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
•Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.
•Ability to apply logic, reasoning and creative thinking to solve complex problems.
•Experience working with in a multi-site environment.
•Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office.
•Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and/or projects.
•Knowledge of senior living regulations and safety considerations for working with seniors.
