Job DescriptionReq ID: 17961 Shift: Days Employment Status: AF - Active - Regular - Full Time Job Summary The Senior Director of Development, Cancer Center, will serve as the fundraising leader for this world-class center that is known internationally for its leadership in fighting cancer at the premier children’s hospital in the country. The Senior Director of Development will lead all fundraising efforts and oversee a team focused on strengthening partnerships with existing donors while launching a strategic and systematic effort to identify and target new donors locally and nationally to build a pipeline of 6- and 7-figure gifts to advance cancer priorities across the hospital in pursuit of tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Accordingly, the Senior Director of Development will work in partnership with the Division Chief, Cancer Center and Foundation leadership to ensure the alignment of institutional fundraising strategies, reporting to the Executive Director, Major Gifts and contributing to the overall strategy for the Major Gifts program. Ultimately, the Senior Director will further establish and optimize the public view of the Foundation as the charity of choice for cancer and pediatric health. Job Responsibilities

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree Required Experience: Ten (10) years of fundraising experience in a complex medical or academic setting, including five (5) years in major gifts, and prior experience serving as a leader in a cancer fundraising program. Two (2) years management of frontline major gift fundraisers, with experience recruiting and retaining staff, possessing a strong commitment to professional growth and development. Preferred Experience: Proficient in Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce.
