The Project Manager - Clinical Operations functions as a Subject Matter Expert directly supporting the Clinical Operations Improvement Team of the Acute Care Division of Universal Health Services. Identifies service line best practices addressing quality, optimal patient outcomes, resource utilization, safety, standardization and implementation strategies for improvement. Conducts executive, department, clinical and medical leadership presentations. Incorporates data from Eclipsys, Cerner, Finance, PMM, PFM, Siemens and industry benchmark data sources. Provides leadership to the UHS corporate and facility implementation teams. Documents patient care, clinical process improvement and cost savings opportunities identified. Identifies company-wide opportunities for cost savings through utilization opportunities while maintaining a high level of quality care. Integrates Quality, Performance Improvement, Information Technology, and clinical department leadership into a collaborative strategy to lower expense, increase margins, and improve operations. Essential Job Duties: Subject Matter Expert Clinical Operations Improvement Functions as Senior Clinical Resource for service line leadership and executive staff. Focuses on enhanced outcomes opportunities. Engages physicians/clinicians. Mentors Group's resources, team leader(s) and facility staff. Educates new participants. Document savings, provides financial information, and reviews submitted protocols for additional opportunities. Develops Best Demonstrated Practice strategies. Recognizes existing facility Best Demonstrated Practices, educates hospital clinical areas in implementation of identified best practices, and tracks savings identified through implementation of best practices. Promotes stewardship of company resources. Clinical Operations Improvement, Strategic Direction, ImplementationExecutes the Clinical research and forums for improvement implementations. Facilitation, and Administration of the Clinical Operations Improvement initiativesPlans/assists with scheduling, agenda, and runs meeting. Distributes meeting minutes promptly. Facilitates sharing of ideas, strategies, and tactics to achieve targets. Mobilizes resources required by the opportunities. Collaborates with the Corporate and Facility leaders on the hand off and completion of all initiatives. Develops presentations, work plans, timelines and milestones. Assumes initial responsibility for measuring, tracking, monitoring, and reporting initiatives. Develops status updates.
