Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a brand new 126 bed inpatient psychiatric hospital opening in the summer of 2018. The facility is a joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.

We are seeking a Director of Performance Improvement who will support our mission, vision & values. The Director of Performance Improvement is responsible for development, implementation, direction, coordination and oversight of the Quality Management/Performance Improvement activities. The primary responsibilities of the Director of Quality and Performance Improvement will be the development, implementation and monitoring of the Hospital's quality improvement, risk management, compliance, clinical outcomes management, and client satisfaction/complaints or grievances. We are looking to bring on an experienced change agent to assess and improve upon quality measures (including HBIP indicators, outcomes scores, patient satisfaction surveys and follow-up measures) and performance improvement initiatives. Responsible for examining systematic processes that underscore adverse or high-risk events and implement sustainable corrective actions that include process redesign. Provides project management for selected planning and operational implementation of quality initiatives, developing project work plans, analyzing financial impact and communicating progress and any identified risks. Responsibilities also include ongoing survey readiness and the utilization of quality metrics for improvement and to educate all levels of hospital and medical staff in continuous performance improvement and patient safety concepts, processes and tools. Implements data collection methodologies, databases, action plans and reporting strategies. Identifies patterns and trends in data. Facilitates performance improvement teams to achieve optimal improvement. The Director of Quality and Performance Improvement serves as the Center's Compliance Officer, Privacy Officer, and is a member of the Quality Management team and Credentialing Committee.
The Director of Quality and Performance Improvement will be a member of the Executive Team and report directly to the CEO and work collaboratively with hospital leaders to assess quality management practices.
