Henderson Hospital Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in the suburb of Henderson, the 120-bed hospital, which opened in 2016, offers emergency care, surgical services, including an ambulatory surgery center, cardiovascular care, women's health and maternity services. A level II neonatal intensive care unit is slated to open by late 2017. Job Description Responsible for providing a comprehensive evaluation of performance components affecting ADL functioning and providing goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum level of independence. Essential Job Duties: Provides comprehensive evaluation of ADL function in the area of: Neurological disease and dysfunction Orthopedic injury/disease Cardiac pulmonary disease General medical and critical care patients UE dysfunction/surgery (including splinting) NICU Psychosocial dysfunction Provides goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum level of independence in the area of: Neurological disease and dysfunction Orthopedic injury/disease Cardiac pulmonary disease General medical and critical care patients UE dysfunction/surgery (including splinting) NICU Psychosocial dysfunction Performs responsibilities consistent with hospital safety policies. Knows and applies infection control policies and processes when handling and disposing of blood and body fluids. Provides direct patient care in areas of specialized expertise (neonatal, pediatric, and other). Responsible for timely, efficient and accurate documentation (i.e.: progress notes, reports, and other pertinent documentation) and communication. Provides patient/family/caregiver education. Provides in-services/education to staff and community programs. Assists Manager/Lead with department duties, as needed. Assists with supervision of COTA's and co-signing.
