Henderson Hospital Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in the suburb of Henderson, the 120-bed hospital, which opened in 2016, offers emergency care, surgical services, including an ambulatory surgery center, cardiovascular care, women's health and maternity services. A level II neonatal intensive care unit is slated to open by late 2017.
Responsible for providing a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive, communication skills and/or swallowing function and providing goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing potential.
Essential Job Duties:
Provides comprehensive evaluation/diagnostic assessment in the area of: Language/Cognition Articulation Fluency Voice Swallowing and dysphagia (CS and MBS) NICU And other specialized assessment skills Provides goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum level of communication and/or swallowing potential in the area of: Language/Cognition Articulation Fluency Voice Swallowing and dysphagia (CS and MBS) NICU And other specialized assessment skills Performs responsibilities consistent with hospital safety policies. Knows and applies infection control policies and processes when handling and disposing of blood and body fluids. Provides direct patient care in areas of specialized expertise. Responsible for timely, efficient and accurate documentation (i.e.: progress notes, reports, and other pertinent documentation) and communication. Provides patient/family/caregiver education. Assists Manager/Lead with department duties, as needed. Provides in-services/education to staff and community programs.
