We continue to grow and expand our services to meet the demands of the community for inpatient psychiatric beds.
This position works first shift Tuesday through Friday at the adult campus. Tuesday and Wednesday the schedule is 8 am to 4:30 pm and then on Thursday and Friday the schedule is 8 am to 8 pm.
Provide & assist in direct patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse (RN) as prescribed by the physician & the treatment team.
Provide medical management and re-assessment of patients.
Assist RN with environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population.
Supervise MHTs as directed by RN. Document patient care, ensure that data is accurate, & that it is included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates.
Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.
Note: LPNs will also be asked to assist with Mental Health Technician duties as needed. Below are the Technician duties:
Assist in the direct care & management of patients across all age ranges with medical & behavioral issues as directed by the treatment team.
Assist with unit programming to facilitate the carryover of therapy issues, leisure activities, and activities of daily living within the functional ability of patients & with consideration for the patient's level of growth & development.
