Provides assistance to indigent patients in completing and submitting paperwork for OH Medicaid, creates agreements with patients that are not financially able to pay off account in full, but can pay set amount monthly until balance is paid in full. Regularly follows up with responsible party on incomplete documentation, patient balances and/or additional information requests related to financial responsibility counseling or insurance verification.
Accurately prepares bills daily and submits them timely via paper or electronically. Verifies receipt of bill to avoid timely filing denials. Reviews patient folders for completeness of patient insurance information and proper signatures. Verifies that computerized insurance documentation is up to date and accurate continuously throughout the accounts receivable process. Consistently completes edits on a daily basis.
