Responsible for the thorough and accurate coding and designated revenue cycle process steps for the Trauma/Acute Surgery Group which is a Hospital Based Practice. Maintains a positive, productive rapport with provider, administrative and clinical support team to ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and done in a way to minimize denials. Maintains professional credentials, manages work cues and prepares reports. Educates and enlightens providers about documentation improvement and coding requirements.
CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
1 - 3 years Clinical Coding exp (ICD CPT and HCPCS) or combination of applicable experience and education.
Must obtain Trauma/Acute Surgery Coding Credentials.
