Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating patient care to patients admitted to the Rehab Unit. Responsible for staffing of the nursing units. Assists with planning, developing, implementing and evaluating rehab services provided. Responsible for fiscal management of nursing units and for assuring cost effective quality care is provided to patient. Interprets philosophy, purpose, policies, procedures and standards of care for the nursing department. Responsible for effective communication among members of rehab nursing, interdisciplinary team, other healthcare professionals, hospital employees and support services Performs all responsibilities in effective, efficient, professional and customer oriented manner.
Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure in the State of South Carolina as a Registered Nurse; BLS – Healthcare provider.
Experience: Minimum of three years recent nursing practice, with at least two years of experience in a nursing leadership position preferred. Physically and mentally capable to satisfy job requirements. CRRN preferred. Expectation of becoming certified with 2 yrs experience in rehab.
