A meaningful educational experience for a college student to gain valuable experience in their field of study; while accomplishing tasks and completing projects in an enriching environment. The intern will gain networking opportunities that include interactions with CHRISTUS leaders and Associates. The Intern will be provided with a variety of projects to support learning objectives in areas.
With oversight and direction from the Office of Research and Academics (ORA) team at CHRISTUS Health, as well as day-to-day operational management support from the Program Manager and regional input from various appointed program administrators, the Healthcare Marketing and Communication Intern will be exposed to the operational environment of clinical education and program management. Within ORA, program specific management is aligned to national accreditation and hospital policies where regional teams work with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment to support multi-state programs.
The Healthcare Marketing and Communication Intern will be tasked to research and propose basic modelling specific to engagement strategies of current and past residents. Processes to be adopted for this purpose will include interviews, research, journaling, and other evidence-based sourcing of information.
Research and document resources for reference on how competitive GME programs convey newsworthy updates to current and past residents.
Research and document resources for reference on how programs use alumni subscriptions/ customer relation management, and memberships to drive resident engagement
Optional/ time permitting: Develop basic Alumni/ CRM model workflow for pilot study
Currently enrolled in College degree program in one of the following areas: Options: (i) Preferred - Enrolled in MHA/ MPH / MHCA / MBA Healthcare Management with interest in Marketing and Communications; (ii) Considered- Enrolled in MBA Marketing and/ Communications or similar with keen interest in healthcare
PC and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others
Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and solid organizational skills
Needs to be resourceful, innovative and persuasive with ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in Spanish and English
At least 2 years of college preparation towards major.
