We currently have a position available for a Full Time Dietary Manager at Del Amo Hospital, a 166-bed behavioral health facility that is located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. The Manager of Food Services manages the daily operations of all food service programs including off-site campuses, special functions, supply purchasing, menu planning and policy development in conjunction with the Registered Dietitian, as well as department scheduling and supervision. Ensures the implementation of standards for quality food service as they apply to patients, staff and the community.
Must be able to demonstrate supervisory and instructional skills;
Must have working knowledge to control scheduling, counseling and disciplining of subordinate staff employees;
Must possess excellent leadership skills;
Must be knowledgeable of Food and NutritionServices procedures, laws an regulatory agencies relating to food services;
Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology related to the nutritional aspect of care;
Must be able to perform assignments with minimal supervision;
Must be able to perform concentrated and/or complex mental activity with frequent involvement in complex and/or highly technical situations;
Must be able to work successfully under highly stressful conditions;
Must be able to make sound, independent judgments based on scientific and/or ethical principles;
Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures;
Must be able to collaborate with other multidisciplinary team members in an appropriate fashion;
Must be capable of adapting to varying workloads an work assignments on a constant basis;
Must have effective comprehensive reading skills, strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Must have math skills to enable calculation of recipes and diets.
Must possess a valid California Driver's License in order to drive hospital vehicles or on hospital business
