Henderson Hospital Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in the suburb of Henderson, the 120-bed hospital, which opened in 2016, offers emergency care, surgical services, including an ambulatory surgery center, cardiovascular care, women's health and maternity services. A level II neonatal intensive care unit is slated to open by late 2017.
Responsible for identifying and correcting incomplete information on patient bills. Prepares daily all billing documents for the billing process.
Essential Job Duties:
Reviews all ER and outpatient accounts to ensure insurance, demographic and billing information is correct.
Compiles registrar errors and communicates to individual staff and supervisor
Assists in training new hire staff within the department, auditing 100% of new hire registrations
Review HDX and Zip reports for audit purposes, communicating findings with staff and management
Ensures all documents are scanned correctly into patient folder.
Accesses Registration Assurant application and reviews account information for accuracy and makes changes to account as necessary.
Identifies recurring errors for training and re-education, meeting with individuals on a monthly basis to review.
Remains current on all registration applications and maintains proficiency in this area.
Department Specific Requirements
Responsible for Life Safety Code panels to include Med Gas, Code Pink and Code Red.
Knowledge and ability to handle, respond, initiate and notify appropriate personnel of the Code.
Responsible for the documentation of Codes.
Knows admitting procedures.
Has working knowledge of patient insurance providers.
Knows insurance verification procedures.
Knows financial counseling procedures.
Knows Bed Board procedures.
