We have an immediate opening for a well trained, personable, and energetic ophthalmologist in the south San Francisco Bay area. Our next generation ophthalmology practice has a focus on posterior segment disease including retina, uveitis, and glaucoma. We are patient centered with a well trained tech savvy team covering two offices. Our scribes and techs are trained to streamline the workload for the physician allowing for greater efficiency. Our patient population is ethnically diverse and draws from a very large geographic area with a strong referral base that includes both MD’s and OD’s. The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in retina, glaucoma, or uveitis, and exemplary ethics and professionalism.
In addition to patient care, there are opportunities for research, industry collaboration, technology innovation and teaching. Our early adoption of EMR and curated database enable unprecedented opportunities for research and technology collaboration. State of the art diagnostic equipment includes ultra-widefield imaging, OCT angiography, electrophysiology, UBM and more. Our focus is on providing state of the art care to our patients in a compassionate environment. We have at the same time utilized our resources to advance the field through research presented at major meetings as well as patents. In the past, both independent and pharma sponsored research have been undertaken.
This is a unique and outstanding opportunity for an ophthalmologist who has an interest in becoming part of a growing practice as well as advancing the field through use of next generation technology and innovation. We prefer full time candidates but will consider part time for the right person. Early partnership with reasonable buy in is possible as well. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and bonus tied to productivity.
