Garland Behavioral Hospital (GBH) is a 72 bed facility located inside Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Garland. We provide a broad range of services for Adult Psychiatric conditions.
Garland Behavioral HospitalÂ is seekingÂ a dynamic and talented Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for the clinical practice of nursing which includes assisting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in directing all services provided by the Nursing Services Department including the onboarding and ongoing educational and competency processes. As a member of nursing services leadership this position ensures the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, programs and services consistent with the facility's goals and objectives, and actively participates in a leadership role by consulting with facility management in designing and providing total patient care and services and provides an adequate staffing pattern to meet patient needs, based on patient census and as determined by the patient acuity system.Â Under the direction of the CNO, the ADON position is responsible for management of the infection control and employee health programs and is an integral component of nursing services performance improvement activities. The ADON will be a part of the Senior Leadership team and will be in the call rotation for the Administrator on Call.
Co-direct the provision of 24-hour nursing services for the facility.
Develop, implement and revise corporate, facility and Nursing Services policies and procedures within the guidelines of the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the facility.
Develop, implement and maintain Infection Control Plan and Employee Health Program
Provides an adequate staffing pattern to meet patient needs, based on patient census and as determined by the patient acuity system.
