As a Contracts Manager, you will take a leadership role in developing and negotiating service contracts by reviewing, analyzing and compiling data for clinical procedures/treatments. You will evaluate the profitability of clinical services and case types as well as negotiate contract rates and language with third party payers. You will also recommend clinical service packages for contracts development. This position involves supporting other departments in carrying out 500 managed care contracts. We're looking to you to provide timely responses to contracting opportunities to maintain positive relationships with health plans and medical groups.

QualificationsTo succeed in this position, you must possess: Solid experience with a health care provider organization Proven expertise in managed care contract negotiation, preferably within a hospital, medical group, or health plan environment Strong analytical skills, teamwork and customer service skills Knowledge of the Southern California managed care marketplace Familiarity with hospital and professional reimbursement mechanisms Computer proficiency with Word and Excel Fee for service, capitation and Medicare contracting experience preferred Experience with database applications a plus Related Bachelor's degree desired
