Assists with the oversight of the monthly staff schedule to maintain adequate daily staffing levels.
Participates in staff development/evaluation of competency, performance reviews, and counseling
Actively participates in the orientation, in-service training and continuing education of all personnel; maintains accurate and complete competency files.
In collaboration with manager, works with Medical Staff and other departments to ensure coordination and integration of clinical processes to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance. Patient Rounding meets or exceeds hospital and department goals.
Role model for coordinating and integrating interdepartmental services.Â Identifies hospital or departmental problems, suggests plan to resolve issues, implements and evaluates plan with assistance and approval of Director/Manager. Demonstrates effective communication skills; handles complaints in a timely and effective manner; participates in conflict resolution.
Active member of performance improvement activities in the department.Â Active participant in concurrent record reviews for completeness of documentation of nursing care.
Under the supervision of the Director/Manager, monitors patient care activities within budget, monitors staff usage, and monitors use of premium labor.
