Chair and Associate Professor/Professor for Restorative Dentistry

The Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry is seeking applicants with DMD, DDS, or equivalent for a full-time appointment as tenured or tenure-track or non-tenure track at the rank of associate professor or professor. The candidate will assume the position of chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry. The dental school is known for its excellence in clinical education and patient care and is highly innovative.
Candidates must have or be eligible for full licensure to practice dentistry in Pennsylvania along with documented excellence in didactic and clinical teaching. Candidate can be tenured on hire or be placed on the tenure track provide that they meet Temple University criteria that define outstanding teaching and research. In addition, candidates must demonstrate a record of leadership, administrative, and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex curricular and clinical issues to lead the department in an active phase of growth and change. Candidates must also have experience in new pedagogical methods including patient-centered and evidence-based oral health care. Tenured or tenured-track faculty with research funding or on track for funding will be preferred provided thy meet the other qualifications.
Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
