The Administrative Assistant reports to and routinely provides clerical support to theÂ hospital's Chief Executive Officer andÂ the Medical Director and other department directors, as needed.Â Other responsibilities include daily distribution ofÂ physician assignments, updatingÂ physician on-call schedules, calendar management, answeringÂ phones,Â typing reports and correspondence, initiating verification of medical staff credentials for eachÂ new applicant and reappointment of current med staff members,Â onboarding physicians, scheduling meetings, assembling materials for meetings,Â attending and takingÂ minutes at departmental and clinical meetings (e.g. Med Exec Committee, MedÂ Staff Committee, etc.),Â contract administration, and maintainingÂ policy and procedures manuals.
