Friends Hospital offers a continuum of care including level of care assessments; specially designed inpatient units for adolescents, adults, and older adults; and a private residential rehabilitation program. The Behavioral Health Associate (BHA) cares for mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed individuals, following direction of the Registered Nurse, physician instructions and hospital procedures. The BHA monitors patientsâ€™ physical and emotional well-being and reports to the interdisciplinary team. The BHA may help with general care requirements, treatment teams, group educations and activities, education and administrative, operational, or clinical quality improvement initiatives and projects.Â The BHA will be required to respond to all codes in their designated building and assist with all other hospital codes when necessary. The BHA acts as a mentor for the Mental Health Technicians (MHT).
