Loyola University Health System (LUHS), a member of Trinity Health, seeks an Executive Director of Cardiovascular Services (ED). Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, with a dyad relationship to the Division Director of Cardiology and Co-Director Cardiovascular Services, the ED will lead and direct all outpatient services within the Department of Cardiovascular Services at Loyola University Medical Center, a flagship academic Level 1 Trauma Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and newly acquired MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois. The ED will also have other system-wide responsibilities. This key leadership position will reside at Loyola University Medical Center within the Department of Cardiovascular Services and travel to satellite sites, as required.
The cardiovascular service line includes but is not limited to Cardio/CV and Vascular Surgery. The Executive Director is charged with the overall growth and development of the LUHS service line and its associated clinical programs. She/he will also work collaboratively with Trinity and other non-Trinity entities on clinical program and network development
The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree and significant experience in service line leadership (preferably cardiovascular) in an academic medical center setting. She/he is a mission driven leader, whose preference is to work within a value based, patient- centric provider organization. S/he will be a skilled senior leader, who is comfortable operating at a level commensurate with that of a Vice President, and whose technical expertise matches his/her desire to be part of an organization committed to compassionate and healing healthcare within the communities it serves.
