The Safety Officer is responsible for all Environment of Care Programs, including the seven functional areas: Safety, Security, Hazardous Materials/Waste, Emergency Preparedness, Life Safety, Medical Equipment and Utility Systems. The Safety Officer interacts with federal, state and local entities related to this facility's response during community-wide emergencies

Certification as a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP), Certified Patient Safety Officer (CPSO),Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) or Certified Emergency Disaster Professional (CEDP) preferred
