The Corporate IS Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Clinical Informaticist-BH.
The Clinical Informaticist acts as the key resource for clinical areas in the Behavioral Health Division representing clinical applications throughout the organization. Acts as a liaison with facilities and other corporate staff for issues that involve Clinical areas and applications that share functionality. Participates and leads in the development, design, build, testing, implementation, support, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned software applications and systems. Serves as a liaison between customers, Information Services staff and vendors.Â Serves as a point of contact for physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff including, but is not limited to: supporting clinical IT events; transferring knowledge to facility clinical IS staff; leading committees composed of facility clinical and corporate staff; providing documentation, process workflow and other functionality regarding necessary clinical information system sustainability, support, and development.
Key Responsibilities include:
Serves as liaison to facility representatives to investigate and resolve customer service issues.
Collaborates to develop efficient workflow and processing for end users to support safe patient centered care and quality standards.
Communicates and provides rationale for decisions to other UHS corporate and facility staff.
Identifies educational needs and collaborates with education team to design and implement end user education.
Provides mechanisms for soliciting ongoing feedback from users and responds/follows-up with concerns in a timely manner.
Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems.
Develops and maintains communication flows that exceed customer expectations.
Collaborates to provide knowledge of appropriate clinical design strategies to achieve or solve identified organizational needs.
Maximizes effectiveness of applications by understanding available functionality, options and possible alternatives for software in production.
Formulates reports, collects and analyzes data to identify trends that improve organizational performance and clinical outcomes.
Maintains a current knowledge of developments and issues in healthcare, evidence-based practice, healthcare informatics and regulatory.
Articulates how new technology will impact current processes and procedures for the organization.
