Performs initial assessment appropriate to the patientâ€™s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural and religious orientation in a timely manner.
Identifies and prioritizes the need for further assessment based on the patientâ€™s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, desire for care and responses to any previous care.
Initiates discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate.
Demonstrates the ability to utilize the bedside hemodynamic monitoring system, assess findings, intervene as indicated and evaluate.
Able to care for patients throughout the continuum of care, including management of pain, invasive lines and surgical drains.
Able to perform ACLS including infusion of appropriate medications as needed.
Able to interpret cardiac arrhythmias, intervene as appropriate and alert physician of any significant changes.
Able to titrate vasoactive drugs according to unit policy in response to changing patient condition.
