Duties: Assist a consultant in overseeing and facilitating the organization in their performance measurement process and analysis of data utilizing knowledge of information systems capabilities and statistical methods in designing research modality, measurement tools, and analysis of data. Assist in interpreting and presenting data (clinical, business outcomes, peer review, regulatory indicators) used to support and direct key decisions for the organization's operations and in recommending and creating policies and procedures so that management may implement the changes.
Facilitate and monitor change efforts throughout the organization. Design, facilitate and maintain performance improvement activities to ensure continuous improvements in patient care, operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Monitor reported indicators and develop appropriate internal indicators to monitor compliance. Design processes to improve performance based on identified trends and best practice. Assure that appropriate standards are developed and monitoring reports are produced. Review charts and graphs from Strategic Radiology surveys.
Communicate at all levels of the organization, to include presenting information on plans, processes, performance improvement goals and regulatory requirements to individuals and small groups. Mentor other team members on utilization and functionality of decision support systems.
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities. Responsible for RIS (MI) daily total calls, exams, backlogs and occupancy rates. Responsible for determination of staffing requirements. Coordinate all activities necessary to hire, train and assimilate new staff. Regularly monitor performance of assigned staff and recommend to management any compensation and other rewards to recognize performance.
Supervise the activities of Data Analyst.
Minimum job requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Engineering and 4 years experience in quality and process improvement. Proficiency in Merge, RIS, Compliatric and Minitab computer software systems. Must have at least 1 year supervisory experience; Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Black Belt training or certification.
Hours: 40hrs/wk. 8 am to 5 pm.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within Southern California, possible travel once a year out of state
