RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and grow our network of grassroots advocates throughout the country
• Identify potential grasstops advocates and cultivate relationships to advance 340B Health’s goals
• Build, nurture, and retain grassroots advocates through recruitment of new and strategic supporters with an emphasis on key congressional districts
• Track our community of grasstops and grassroots advocates and mobilize them as needed
• Manage 340B Health’s Impact Profile initiative, including assistance with member hospitals on creation of Impact Profiles, maintaining a database of Impact Profiles, and increasing hospital participation
• Identify external opportunities to support and amplify 340B Health’s priorities
• Develop advocacy strategies and oversee day-to-day management of advocacy campaigns designed to achieve policy objectives
• Track 340B Health’s government relations data, including maintenance of grassroots toolkit, tracking of legislative activity in Knowlegis, and updating government relations contacts in membership database
• Monitor legislative activity and update 340B Health’s member hospitals on relevant issues through regular communications, quarterly newsletter, Action Alerts, and other tools
• Assist in execution of legislative fly-ins, including coordinating logistics and event preparation and manage 340B Health’s Government Relations Committee

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience building relationships with advocates for a non-profit organization
• 2 or more years of professional experience on Capitol Hill or in Government Relations at a trade association
• Experience with Knowlegis or other grassroots software
• Passion for the organization’s mission
• An understanding of the political landscape in Washington, DC
• A strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Limited travel required but must help staff our annual national conference in California.
