Texas NeuroRehab Center (TNC) provides complex medical and brain injury rehab, chemical dependency treatment for adults and neuropsychiatric treatment for youth. The capabilities of the facility as a whole allow for integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents and adults facing difficult challenges.
Texas NeuroRehab is currently accepting applications for a X-Ray/EEG Technician. The X-Ray technician conducts radiologic and neurodiagnostic procedures (i.e., x-rays, routine EEGs, sleep deprived EEGs) on inpatients and outpatients as needed to provide data to assist physicians in the diagnosis of patients. This position is a 32 hour position.

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures and/or EEGs according to the written or verbal orders of a physician.
Operate or oversee operation of radiologic /fluoroscopic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Use radiation and EEG safety measures. Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protective techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors to comply with government regulations.
Record, process, and maintain patient data and treatment records and prepare reports as requested.
Makes/maintains written / computerized documentation in patient medical records according to policies / protocol. Coordinate work with clerical personnel and other departments.
Demonstrate new equipment, procedures, and techniques to staff, and provide technical assistance.
Achieve production goals.
Perform administrative duties as assigned by department manager.
Ensures operation of radiology and EEG equipment by preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories. Ensures equipment is properly maintained according to governmental and company standards.
Ability to learn or have knowledge of applicable governmental regulations and protocols.
Ability to be a team player and take initiative.
Operate basic office equipment.
Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as necessary in conjunction with EEG.
Provides all required documentation on time and in accepted formats.
Maintain a safe environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients/and or equipment up to 50lbs.
Participates in hospital wide performance improvement activities.
