Humana is seeking multiple Pharmacy Technicians or Pharmacy Technicians in Training in Springdale/West Chester, OH and offering a $500 retention bonus!
We have several teams who are hiring. Depending on what team you join, as a member you will do the following:
Talk with existing Humana members, physician offices or pharmacies via inbound and outbound calls
Communicate and interact with fellow team members to meet department goals
Problem solving with infusion pharmacists and nurses to deliver accurate prescription information
Educate members on alternative medications and opportunities for cost savings
The Dispensing Pharmacy Technician accurately fills and counts medications.
Ensure patients receive their medication both timely and accurately
Attaching prescriptions/patient info/financial info to a patient profile and ensuring that all notated drug/allergy/health conditions are notated in patient profile.
is item entering the prescription info such as drug name, strength, quantity, directions, MD info
Candidates for this position must have the following skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license in Ohio
Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously and ability to multitask
A positive, proactive attitude, energetic, and highly motivated
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Applied knowledge of insurance processing, customer service or call center processes and practices
A positive attitude with a desire to help our members and be engaged with your team
NOTE: for a Dispensing position you must be able to stand for up to a 10 hour shift
6 months – 1 year of Pharmacy experience OR equivalent telephonic experience in a pharmacy call center setting
Mail order or retail Pharmacy experience
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
IV Compounding experience
Experience with typing prescriptions
Experience with performing calculations
Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CphT or ExCPT)
