Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is a Joint Commission approved and state licensed facility for 88 beds, which includes pediatric units, adolescent girls, adolescent boys, and MISA (Mental Illness Substance Abuse) unit.

At Lincoln Prairie, we provide treatment to children and adolescents (ages 3-17) that present with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders, providing an array of outpatient programs, educational programs, enhanced Occupational Therapy services, Recreational Therapy, Art and Music Therapy, while utilizing a holistic treatment approach.
We are currently seeking a full-time Cook to join our team.
The primary responsibilities of this position, include but may not be limited to:
Follow menus and recipes as provided by the Consultant Dietician, and consult with the Dietitian or Dietary Manager as required.
Prepare meals according to the menu cycle and daily productivity sheet; providing attention to attractive and tasteful meals.
Accurately prepare food for modified diets, consulting as required.
Complete and prepare meals in a timely manner as prescribed by posted meal times.
Document refrigeration and dish machine temperatures in accordance with posted schedule.
Adhere to standards to food temperatures during cooking, serving and storage of leftovers.
Assist in keeping walk-in freezer, storerooms and workspace orderly.
Properly date and label all opened food items.
Comply with established guidelines for sanitation and safety.
Positively interact with patients in the serving line, offering assistance in the selection of a nutritionally balanced meal.
