Summary of Job Function: Reporting to the Sr. Plant Operations manager position provides managerial support for the Facilities Management Department by directing the daily activities of all departmental skills, including but not limited to the General Maintenance, Grounds keeping, Trades, Boiler Room and documentation management. Manages in-house projects as assigned by the Sr. Ops Manager and Director. Provides support by performing various inspection functions such as Construction Rounds for capital projects and Environmental Safety Rounds for compliance with TJC standards. Provides purchasing support by utilizing the PEOPLESOFT program. Performs annual Job Performance evaluations as well as being responsible for any performance or disciplinary issues that may arise. Interfaces with hospital administration on a regular basis to provide updates and to establish priorities. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc

Job Requirements: College degree preferred. Working knowledge of Plant Operations or Facilities Management roles and functions. Ability to assess daily needs and allocate available resources to meet these needs. Computer literate with ability to manipulate database programs such as Excel, Prolog and Maintenance First. Good communication skills and ability to direct multi-disciplined staff on a daily basis. NJ Driver License required, NJ Boiler Operator Red Seal, Refrigeration Operator Blue Seal, and CHFM certification highly preferred.
