McDowell Center For Children is seeking a dynamic and talented Special Education Teacher for our Residential Treatment Center for teenage boys. The boys are ages 12 -18 years of age. They could experience mental health, behavioral and/or substance abuse issues. The residents reside at McDowell anywhere from 4 - 6 months. The boys go to school Monday- Friday , year round. The Special Ed. Classroom usually has less than 10 students .
The teacher uses Odyssey Ware laptops as a teaching tool. The classroom also has use of a part time Special Ed. Teacher to assist with IEP's.
