The Ridge Behavioral Health System is seeking a dynamic and talented Outpatient Manager. Located in Lexington, KY, the heart of the Bluegrass, The Ridge Behavioral Health System offers a healing environment that is reassuring to a patients' sense of security and confidentiality. Dedicated to excellence, The Ridge Behavioral Health System is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, as a licensed, 110-bed hospital, providing psychiatric (mental health) and chemical dependency (drug & alcohol rehabilitation) services to children, adolescents and adults. Inpatient care is provided on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week. Outpatient and partial hospitalization services are provided on a six-day per week basis, days and evenings. Under the direction of the Outpatient Services Director, the Outpatient Manager oversees the scheduling and billing for office visits, tele-psych the medical providers. The Outpatient Manager provides direction and supervision to the Psychiatric Provider Assistant, Outpatient Coordinator, and Mental Health Technicians. This position provides clerical support to unit staff and the Director of Outpatient Services. This position also acts as a Receptionist for Outpatient Services/Med Management Office. The Outpatient Manager will also assist the Director of Outpatient Services in the overall operation of the Outpatient Center.
Position Specific Competencies

Follows organization's intake procedures when clients or prospective patients arrive.
Compiles census data accurately and timely.
Analyzes and coordinates correction of billing deficiencies
Places follow-up calls to patients who miss their appointments consistent with the hospital policy.
Demonstrates effective time management skills; organizes work so that critical assignments are completed first.
Manages admissions to OP Programs and provides support to OP Staff regarding admissions
Copies previous patient charts for physician/APRN prior to the patient's first visit.
Records and routes telephone and in-person messages accurately, completely and promptly.
Orders office supplies in a timely fashion to maintain a par level of all office materials. Maintains order of office materials to ensure accessibility for Outpatient staff.
Organizes the office area.
Responds professionally with upset visitors and patients and forwards concerns to the appropriate outpatient staff member for follow-up. Responds politely and helpfully when information being sought is unavailable or difficult to obtain.
Provides or coordinates guidance to OP staff in the absence of the DOS.
Follows-up on tasks or assignments that require further attention without direction. Brings concerns and recommended solutions to the DOS as needed.
Provides knowledgeable feedback and addresses interdepartmental concerns. When appropriate, seeks feedback from the DOS to effectively respond to interdepartmental issues in a timely fashion.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of outpatient schedule and operations; communicates this information to our patients and visitors.
Attends monthly OP staff meeting and monthly Management Meeting
