This manager position will play a key role in the operations and oversight of the VPLS Outreach program. Strong communication and personnel management skills are ea must for this position. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight at multiple off-campus locations.
Position will have office space in Williamson County and VUMC main campus. Duties will require some travel between off campus clinic locations
in the Middle Tennessee area (no overnight travel; mileage is reimbursed)
1. Management of off-campus VPLS phlelobotomy team.
a. Multiple direct and indirect reports
b. Team scheduling, training, competency assessment, and
2. Primary VPLS liaison for other off campus locations that collect lab samples using clinic staff.
a. Assist clinics in resolving lab collection issues
b. Provide phlebotomy competency assessment and training support for clinic staff
3. VPLS Representative on Lab Safety/Environment of Care Committee
4. Work with VPLS Team to provide other operational support to off-campus clinic locations as appropriate.
