Under the direction of the Director of Perioperative Services, this position is responsible for the administration of sterile processing including: quality of decontamination, cleaning & sterilization of surgical instruments, reprocess-able equipment and supplies in the hospital. Is also responsible for functional coordination of the department with other departments and outside resources.
High School graduate or equivalent required. Bachelors degree strongly preferred. Will accept experience in lieu of college.
Eight years experience in sterile processing, supply inventory and/or equipment control is required.
Five years of supervisory experience is required.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
One of three required: American Hospital Association, National Institute of Sterile Processing Distribution Technician, International Association of Hospital Central Service Management.
