SandyPines is a 149 bed Residential Psychiatric Facility servicing children and adolescents ages 5 to 17. The facility is located in beautiful sub-tropical South Florida and is nestled beside Johnathan Dickinson State Park which creates a rustic, roomy outdoor atmosphere. SandyPines is at the county line of both Palm Beach and Martin Counties and is just minutes away from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
The Human Resources Coordinatoris responsible for assisting in planning, coordinating, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, interpreting, directing and administering the day to day human resources functions for the facility in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Creates and maintains employee databases to ensure federal, state, UHS and Facility compliance with background, training, license and certification, competency and performance evaluation regulatory requirements and proactively communicates compliance status to employees and supervisors.
Coordinates recruitment processes including job posting, application processing, testing and offers, and responds to applicant employment inquiries within one business day.
Performs primary source verification of license, certification and background screening through online portals ongoing in accordance with federal, state, UHS and facility requirements, obtains and files corroborating documentation in files.
Processes approved employee action changes each payroll period, coordinating with the payroll coordinator to ensure error-free processing, and runs system reports to audit for accuracy.
Coordinates scheduling of mandatory CPR, First Aide and other training and proactively communicates compliance status to employees, supervisors and human resources director.
Communicates leaves and absence notice information to payroll coordinator, department director, staffing coordinator and HRD.Provides nurse health manager with health-related documentation received.
Processes new hires including paperwork, drug test, assessment testing, physical, fingerprints and completes HRIS data entry.
Coordinates and conducts new hire orientation monthly.
Coordinates computer-based new hire and annual in-service training for all employees.Maintains database, monitors and proactively communicates compliance status to employees and supervisors.
Responds to benefits questions and facilitates resolution of employee problems or issues.Communicates annual open enrollment information.
Responds to employment verification requests unable to be managed through UHS vendor.
Creates and maintains employee files in compliance with regulatory, UHS and facility requirements. Audits files as needed.
Collaborates with all employees to promote a positive work environment and guest relations.
Files information in employee files weekly to ensure information is current.
Assumes and/or performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.
General knowledge and understanding of the human resources function including federal and state regulatory compliance pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity, Department of Labor regulations, employee relations, benefits administration, workers compensation and OSHA.
Ability to liaison between employees and management.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Able to function efficiently despite distractions and interruptions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent computer skills and knowledge of various software systems and email required.
