The UHS Southern California Regional Office is located in Temecula, California.
The Southern California Region consists of Corona Regional Medical Center, Palmdale Regional Medical Center, Southwest Healthcare System and Temecula Valley Hospital.
Essential Job Duties:
Reporting to the Group Vice President, the Regional Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership in the development and execution of human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of culture, compensation, recruitment, performance management, employee relations and regulatory compliance.
Serves as an internal consultant to the executive team at a regional level.
Works with facility HRD's to develop and implement HR strategies that support expected business outcomes.
Advises facility HRD's of current legal requirements affecting system employees and maintains an over-all function compatible with these regulations.
Sustains nonunion status of union-free facilities through maintenance of an appropriate employee oriented environment.
Maintains competitive compensation programs and recommends adjustments to Leadership, based on continuous salary administration efforts.
Develops and recommends standardized policies, job descriptions, procedures and programs to HRD's and Leadership.
Monitors HR department statistics to analyze recruitment strategies, turnover, hiring, etc. and to recommend interventions or program development.
Ensures standardized processes, job descriptions and policies across the region in keeping with UHS highly recommended and HR best practice.
Participates with the VP of Labor Relations in the negotiation of labor contracts.
Monitors annual performance evaluation/merit increase system to ensure fair and equitable application to all staff.
Conducts investigations related to compliance line calls or direct employee concerns as needed or assigned by Corporate Compliance, GVP, or hospital leadership.
Coordinates quarterly HRD meetings in order to share best practices, regulatory updates, and identify challenges and opportunities.
