Foundations Behavioral Health's state of the art Acute In-Patient Treatment Program for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related intellectual disabilities (ID) provides integrated and multidisciplinary therapeutic, educational, and behavioral supports to children and adolescents with ASD and/or ID who are experiencing behavioral crisis. We are currently seeking a therapist to join other professionals to extend therapy, education, and behavioral supports to our patients and their families. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for patient assessments and treatment planning, with a focus on applied behavioral analysis and integration with treatment. Also includes individual, group, and family training/therapy, and coordination of therapeutic activity schedule and related supports. Designs, implements, supports and documents behavioral programs including: I. Lead behavioral assessment, including but not limited to: (a) gathering information at intake regarding preferences and characteristics of behaviors, (b) assembling copies of behavior plans implemented at other settings, (c) developing hypothesis regarding the functions of behaviors, and (d) assuring that behaviors are tracked accurately on an ongoing basis. II. Lead the development, evaluation, and documentation of behavior intervention programs, including but not limited to: (a) identification of behavioral interventions, (b) definition of behavioral interventions on the treatment plan, (c) training and coaching of direct care staff in implementation of interventions, (d) support to therapists in providing parent training. III. General responsibilities, including but not limited to (a) Maintains a thorough knowledge base of age specific interventions for patient populations served. Participates in department and facility Performance Improvement activities. In addition to direct work with children, families and school representatives, this position requires report writing, attending meetings, staff meetings and regular communication with management.
