Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI has an opening for a clinical genetic counselor. In this position, there will be a split focus in oncology and obstetrics. The genetic counselor will provide independent patient consultations working closely with physicians and other staff in the Departments of Oncology and Obstetrics and Gynecology at Eau Claire. The genetic counselor will also remain engaged and connected remotely to the team of genetic counselors and geneticists through the Department of Clinical Genomics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Master of Science or Master of Arts in Genetic Counseling granted by a genetic counseling program accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) required. Eligible for active candidate status as defined by ABGC or board certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) or the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) necessary. Certification must be attained within 2 years of start date. Genetic counselors residing in the state of Minnesota or providing direct patient care to patients in the state of Minnesota must be licensed by the state of Minnesota. Licensure in Wisconsin is not available or required at this time.
