Provides direct patient care to children, adolescents, and adults from the ages of 5-65+ that is congruent with the philosophy and standards of practice defined by the social work department. Conducts psychosocial assessments, case management activities, family interventions, and disposition planning as needed. Promotes and participates in referral development activities. Manages a full caseload in an organized and effective manner.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of social work.
Knowledge of normal and abnormal human development and its impact upon physical, emotional, and behavioral development.
Ability to assess and evaluate socio-psychological data to compile and complete assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
Ability to perform individual, family, group, and crisis intervention techniques for children, adolescents, adults, and family members.
Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Ability to responsibly exercise independent judgment in assigned duties.
Ability to establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with family members of patients for the purpose of support, education, guidance, and communication of the treatment plan.
