The Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety collaborates with Leadership and UHS corporate personnel in risk management and overseeing risk management activities of the organization to provide and maintain safe, high quality patient services. Promotes collaborative relationships among the medical staff, volunteers, the community and other departments within the system. Serves as the facility Risk Manager and has a broad responsibility to protect the hospital's assets from expenses and the Corporate Compliance Officer and Patient Safety Officer. The structure and functions of the Risk Management Program are designed to comply with guidelines and standards of JCAHO, AHCA, other regulatory agencies and the UHS T.E.R.M. Program.
