The Clinical Technician provides direct care and supervision of patients with psychiatric disorders to ensure the safety and well-being of the patients. The C linical Tech has the primary responsibility for ensuring the patient's safety, environmental safety, and manages patient behavior on the unit. The Clinical tech will provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. While performing specific duties, the Clinical Tech must provide appropriate crisis intervention as necessary by anticipating and responding quickly to escalating behaviors, utilizing de-escalation techniques to diffuse violent situation and correctly prioritizing safety concerns.
High school or GED
Minimum one year experience working with a psychiatric population required; 2 or more years preferred
