The RN Trauma Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for the successful operation of the Trauma Program, including data abstraction, quality improvement, internal and community education, and Injury prevention on behalf of the trauma center. The TPM has responsibility for monitoring, evaluating and coordinating care of trauma patients in conjunction with the Trauma medical Director. The TPM is accountable to the Director of Emergency, Nursing, and Trauma Services. The position requires knowledge and skill of: professional nursing theory and practice; trauma care and trauma systems; principles of teaching and learning; research and quality improvement. Effective interpersonal relationships are essential to all activities. Knowledge, understanding, acceptance, and support of the philosophy objectives and policies of CHRISTUS Saint Michael Health System are essential. The Trauma Program Manager demonstrates excellence in practice through full role functions: practitioner, educator, consultant, leader and researcher.
Basic Computer Knowledge
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Prefer a minimum of 2 years clinical practice in an acute care environment, preferrably Emergency Department
Maintain current BLS and state licensure and provide the organization with verification of same.
