The Senior Director of Contracting is responsible for providing leadership for a defined portfolio of client contracting or supplier contracting or supplier initiatives for all Conifer Health service lines. The Senior Director of Contracting is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of Contracting procedures, processes, and templates to support Coniferï¿½s achievement of its goals and key initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with all Conifer Health service lines and Conifer Health shared services to support initiatives requiring support from client contracting, supplier contracting.
For supplier contracting only, design and direct contract initiatives for new and existing Conifer suppliers and Conifer client suppliers including:
2.Identification of cost savings from supplier consolidation
3.Driving best value by replacing suppliers or enhancing services delivered
4.Engaging suppliers to define initiatives in support of Coniferï¿½s strategies and goals
5.Define and implement, client contracting, supplier contracting, and processes and procedures to support Conifer Health strategic initiatives and contractual and regulatory requirements. (e.g., acquisitions, compliance with EPIC contractual requirements, TCPA requirements, 501(r) requirements, etc.)
6.Design and direct continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and templates to ensure:
Continually improve contract negotiation strategies to mitigate risk for Conifer
Continually monitor/govern key suppliers to mitigate Coniferï¿½s risks, and resolve any continued key supplier service delivery issues timely.

Demonstrated ability and experience in understanding of standard business contract terms, identification of business risk, and development of negotiating/risk mitigation strategies for client and supplier contracts
Demonstrated ability and contract negotiation experience from both the supplier and client contract perspective.
Demonstrated ability and experience working with legal in negotiating business terms and master agreement terms
Demonstrated ability and experience in and an advanced understanding of business process outsourcing opportunities and operations
Experience interacting with senior leadership
Excellent professional communication skills
Advanced organizational, customer service, interpersonal, facilitation, and time management skills
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
Bachelorï¿½s degree required. (Preference for Business or Healthcare Administration)
Masterï¿½s degree preferred but not required
Minimum of 15 years of experience in contract development and negotiation of large dollar value complex contract portfolios
Minimum of 10 years leading/managing contracting professionals responsible for a portfolio of multiple large dollar complex contracts
Minimum of 5 years of experience in performing an account management and/or vendor management role is preferred by not required. (e.g., responsibility for successful delivery to contract terms, as well as, responsibility for delivery of financial objectives).
Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not required
Some consulting experience is preferred but not required
Experience in project management preferred but not required
Include minimum certification required to perform the job.
IACCM or National Organization Contract Manager Certification (preferred but not required)
PMP (PMI certified project manager) preferred by not required
