ChristianaCare, Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Hospital Dentistry at Wilmington Hospital is looking for an Office Assistant. The primary function of an Office Assistant is to perform patient registration and scheduling in our busy department and/or outpatient office, including obtaining financial and clinical information, insurance data and authorizations.

The Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Hospital Dentistry has offered dental treatment to the community for more than 60 years. The fees have been kept at a reduced level so that uninsured and underinsured patients can receive comprehensive care. The treatment is performed by dental residents who have completed their undergraduate training and have chosen to spend an additional year as hospital residents before starting their practices. The clinic is supervised by many community dentists who volunteer their time, as well as faculty who work either full- or part-time.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time exempt Monday to Friday position, no weekends or holidays required, which offers a great work life balance!

• Majority of shifts will be 7:45am to 4:15pm
  

Education Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years related medical office experience preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Qualification Requirements:

• Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and foster professional relationships in a team environment.
